Q: Why snail mail?
A: We believe parents are looking to disconnect from the overwhelm of the digital world and center their children in real world experiences. Dandelion Dale letters provide a screen-free activity rich with imaginative possibility. Your child will build relationships with each of the characters month-to-month. With art and craft projects as well as simple recipes, you child will love learning new skills and participating in the thriving community of Dandelion Dale.
Q: How often will I get a letter? Does it matter when I start?
A: Subscribers receive a letter once per month. We post on the 15th of each month. If you sign up after that you will get the following month's letter. You can start any time! While the stories gradually weave together they are also designed to stand alone. Each letter is like a peek into the world of Dandelion Dale, and newcomers are always welcome.
Q: Why only once a month?
A: We are a small family business and original art takes time. We want to balance keeping the quality of our products high, while being sensitive to the child's ability to joyfully delay gratification. Once a month seems the best fit.
Q: What age range is this mail club geared toward?
A: Kindergarten and beyond! The included stories are meant to be read aloud. Children who do not yet read will enjoy having these stories read to them. This makes for a wonderful parent and child bonding experience.
Q: Is this AI?
A: No! As a small family business we take pride in creating from scratch. All art is hand-drawn and painted and the stories are all originals. We hope you enjoy them!
Q: When can I cancel?
A: Any time. If you have not canceled before the 15th of the month your cancelation will go into effect the following month.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: $13 per month.
Who is Wendell Baskin?
Wendell Baskin is a curious hedgehog and a country gentlemen who lives in Dandelion Dale township with his animal friends. Life in Dandelion Dale is measured by the seasons and marked by festivals and celebrations. Though the animals value their quiet rhythms there is nevertheless an adventurous spirit that runs deep.
